V7 Router
With the addition of V7 Router, the job of administering the system becomes much easier from an IT perspective.  V7 Router allows just a single shared folder to be ‘exposed’ to the network, so additional authors don’t need IT to set personal folders on the dictation system. All users post to the single share, and the files are automatically forwarded on to the V7 Server from there.

V7 Router provides full integration with remote authors, by reading mail boxes and FTP sites prior to forwarding files to the dictation system.

The V7 Router is an integral part of V7’s digital dictation network solution, and is installed on the server alongside the V7 Server and V7 Router IF (see below).

V7 System Router IF

Router IF is based on V7’s ‘Intelligent Folder’ technology. Dictation files assigned to predetermined folders are then automatically forwarded to other destinations – for example to remote typists or outsourced typing agencies. This can be effected via FTP, HTTP, or email.
